Internship Program

The Crafts Center provides interns with a unique opportunity to learn about the work and lives of low-income artisans around the world. Past interns with multi-disciplinary interests in areas such as: anthropology, international development, cultural preservation, women's issues and indigenous crafts have found this internship to be especially rewarding.
We are currently looking for volunteers for the following projects:
- Updating the Crafts Resource Database
- Funding research and proposal writing
- Assisting with database conversion and 2005 online membership directory
- Developing content of website pages advertising the goods of new members
Minimum requirements: Qualified individuals will have excellent research, writing, analytical and organizational skills.
Additional helpful experience: Foreign languages such as Spanish and French are a plus. Experience with Raiser's Edge, HTML, Quark, and Microsoft Word is also helpful.
While this internship is unpaid, previous interns have successfully arranged to receive course credit through their universities. A minimum time commitment of 8-12 hours/week is expected.
